Nada Moo!

Found these images while digging through some of my archives. This lady here is Amy, the founder of Nada Moo ice cream. It’s by far the best vegan ice cream option out there, in my opinion. The mint chocolate chip is amazing, and even the plain ol’ vanilla on top of some apple pie is delicious.

Yum!!!! I could use some ice cream today.

Say Om Yoga

I took some photos for the Say Om staff recently, see more of them here. Yoga is something I’ve done on and off again in the past, and I’m looking forward to starting it up again, even though I know it’s going to royally kick my ass.

Running in Austin, TX

I started jogging last year (ya, I wouldn’t quite call it running), and decided I wanted to capture a bit of it on film this year. These are part of an ongoing series documenting how people in Austin stay fit. Check out the current gallery here. And if you’d like to be photographed as part of the project, send me a note!

East Texas

Nearly every summer from the time I was born through high school, I spent in a tiny town in east Texas visiting my grandparents. I remember making mud pies and splashing in the sprinkler, an idyllic childhood in the country. I took these images last year while visiting.

South Congress

I visited New Orleans, LA a while back, and while I was there I met someone who said they didn’t like Austin very much. Specifically, they didn’t like South Congress. They thought people “tried too hard.” Like the shops were just trying to be cool, the people trying to dress extra hip, the coffee trying too hard to be the awesomest. You get the picture. I politely disagreed with him, and stood my ground that Austin is by far the best city ever (yes, ever). Gotta love the holiday decor.

Alisa GreigJanuary 4, 2012 - 2:12 am

and now i want to visit even more :) very nice!!

Leah MuseJanuary 4, 2012 - 2:13 am

Lovely lovely, Amber.

meganMarch 6, 2013 - 1:42 am

Um, I have to disagree as well. Although I’ve only been there once (last April) I completely loved it . . . and would seriously jump at the chance of moving there . . .
